Earlier this year we reported residents' requests for

salt/grit bins. Over 200 are now being installed

across Basingstoke.

The County Council has criteria for the placement of salt bins. They won't supply them where sight lines

may be obscured or the road isn't steep enough.

Requests which qualified are Peveral Walk, Mercer Close, Charles Street, Margaret Road,Pitman Close, St Paul's

Road, Paddock Road and Stag Hill.

If you think your road's been overlooked, please let us know.

In addition several roads in South Ham are on the County Council's salting/gritting routes. These are mainly the Jazz 3

and Jazz 4 bus routes which now of course includes Stag Hill.

You can see a list of the roads on the County's website:-
