Ron Hussey has been the borough councillor fro Grove 24 years he has lived in Grove for 40 years. All year and every year Ron keeps you informed of what action he has taken, what he is doing and what is to come. So here is a little summary.

Past ...

Cliddesden Road - Resolving the daily traffic chaos caused by inconsiderate student parking in Cliddesden Road.

Fly Tipping - Taking pride in our area by getting fly tipping/graffiti removed from Whistler Close, Caroline Court, Gainsborough Road; Constable Close and Skippets garden.

Parking - Getting over 50 much needed additional on-street parking spaces in Gainsborough Road and Landseer Close.

Present ...

Stagecoach - Raising residents' petition and pressuring Stagecoach to re-route the number 12 bus round the top of town and Alencon Link.

Tesco - Organising a residents petition and sucessfully speaking out against plans for a Tesco superstore on the ex Smiths Industries site.

Plascolour - Working to eradicate chaemical odours inthe Cranbourne Lane area. The company installed a filter system but further work is needed.

To come ...

Highways - Design for 30 additional parking spaces in Renoir Close submitted for planning approval. Work planned to start this summer.

Gainsborough Road - Pressing to reduce shading form trees on the Gainsborough Road/M3 motorway bund. Supporting residents with tree shading requests in other roads.

Poynings Crescent - safety rail for drainage ditch,

shrubbery Walk - new "no cycling" signage.

Black Dam Way - bus shelters requested at Rembrandt, Van Dyck and Constable Close.

When Ron was first elected he promised to

- keep you informed all year round with the Grove Focus, not just at election time

- be a campaigning councillor and Focus on Viables and Black Dams's needs.

Ron needs your support on 7th May to continue to work hard for the Grove.
