Recently two large branches fell from a beech tree in Skippetts Lane East. They fell over 60

feet onto the road. Fortunately no-one was hurt.

Ron Hussey asked the Council's tree officer for advice. The officer noted many dead branches

overhanging the lane plus other trees leaning towards the road

She wrote to the land owner reminding them of their duty of care to keep the trees on their land

in a safe condition.

She also urged them to have the trees inspected by a competent arborist and to take appropriate

action.

Hopefully, no trees will need to be felled
