Janice Spalding - In Basingstoke

On Saturday 19th September, Liberal Democrats from Basingstoke will be heading to Bournemouth for the Party's

Autumn Conference. Those attending include Janice Spalding. This will be the first Conference since the General

Election and members will be using the Conference to boost the Lib Dem Fighback in Basingstoke.

Janice Spalding, who was Parliamentary Candidate for Basingstoke at the General Election, is aiming to

take part in debates about Creating safe and legal routes for refugees, Securing a global treaty on Climate change and Delivering the Housing Britain needs.

"Liberal Democrats need to rebuild after the General Election," said Janice Spalding. "The Lib Dem Fightback is already

underway and I will be looking to use Conference to help us boost our campaigning in Basingstoke.

"The Conservatives have swung to the Right since winning their narrow majority at the Election. On the Economy, Deficit

Reduction, the Refugee Crisis, Benefits, Europe, Human Rights and Taxes we have seen the Conservatives abandon

the centre ground.

And Labour are rushing to the Left. Under Jeremy Corbyn, Labour have shredded any economic credibility they may

have had.

"Now more than ever Britain needs a strong Liberal voice of reason, economic sense, tolerance and compassion. I am

determined to be that voice in Basingstoke and I will be there at Conference to help build that strong

Liberal voice across the whole country."
