Andy Konieczko - Demanding better for Brighton Hill
Here are just a few examples of how we've been helping local residents to make Brighton Hill an even better place to live and work over the past 18 months...
FIGHTING FOR MORE PARKING SPACESWe know that the lack of parking spaces is a major issue in Brighton Hill. It's why we created a residents' petition to press the Borough Council to tackle the problem. The petition was presented to the Council at the end of March. The Council now has a duty to investigate possible solutions.
MAKING PROGRESS ON UPGRADES TO BRIGHTON HILL ROUNDABOUTThe plans to upgrade Brighton Hill Roundabout need to happen quickly and work for you. You told us in our residents' survey that you want the Council to hurry up and fix the roundabout - and we're pushing them to make sure they do.
CAMPAIGNING FOR OUR COMMUNITY FACILITIESWe've secured thousands of extra pounds of funding for Chalk Ridge school and important community groups like the Scouts. And we're working hard to protect important green spaces such as Brighton Hill Park.
| MAKING OUR ROADS SAFER & FIXING POTHOLESLike you, we want our roads to be safe. Our campaigning has led to dangerous potholes being repaired and broken safety signage being replaced. We'll continue to push for more to be done. |
NOT FORGETTING ALL THE SMALL THINGSWe've pressed the Council to improve the condition of our footpaths, replace broken street signage, switch off the retail park signs at night, clear up fly-tipping and fix flooded drains - and you can already see the difference. That's why we've earned a reputation for working hard all year round on the issues that matter to Brighton Hill residents. |
